Calvin's personal identity project draws inspiration from Morse code, finding a commonality in the way messages are conveyed through hidden mechanisms within the work. This led to the creation of a one-of-a-kind, unique personal identity, adopting a message delivery method reminiscent of coded signals. Based on the designer's philosophy of valuing sturdiness and honesty over extravagance, the identity incorporates typography and graphic elements inspired by the strong, honeycomb structure, which is difficult to explain scientifically. Notably, the message delivery method reflects the rhythm and pauses (silence) of each Morse code, using a distinctive approach that breaks the message into individual letters to create a sense of rhythm.
개인 작가 Calvin의 퍼스널 아이덴티티 프로젝트는 작품 속 숨겨진 장치를 통해 메시지를 전달한다는 점에서 '모스부호'와 공통점을 발견하고 영감을 얻었습니다. 이를 바탕으로 세상에 하나뿐인 독창적인 퍼스널 아이덴티티를 개발하였고, 부호를 연상시키는 메세지 전달 방식을 채택했습니다. 화려함보다는 견고함과 정직함을 중시하는 디자이너의 철학을 바탕으로, 과학적으로도 설명하기 어려운 벌집의 단단한 구조를 모티브로 한 타이포그래피와 그래픽 요소를 통해 디자이너의 아이덴티티를 담아보았습니다. 특히 메시지를 전달하는 방식에서는 각 모스부호의 리듬감과 끊김(정적)을 반영하여, 메시지를 하나의 알파벳씩 나누어 운율감을 살리는 독창적인 표현 방법을 사용했습니다.
